Thunderbird update problem
Hello,
I have had this problem a while back (more than a year ago) but would like to solve it. At the time the version 68 something came up I updated the running version in our home desktop PC.
Unfortunately and for the first time ever the update didn't work and we couldn't access Thunderbird at all. At the same time I had done the update on my notebook without any problems. My solution was to totally uninstall Thunderbird and reinstall version 60.9.1 and then copy the profile to the default location.
Since then I have been using that version but haven't tried to do updates to avoid going through the same thing alover again.
On my notebook Thunderbird updates are processing correctly.
I couldn't find any suggestion of similar problems in the forums then. Unfortunately I can't remember exactly what was the error message that came up once Thunderbird tried to reboot once updated but it simply didn't restart.
As anyone had trouble with updates? And how did they solve the problem. I thank you very much for your attention, Renato
