I highlighted many messages to delete, then pushed delete icon from top bar. They disappeare. Then I went to trash and it was blank or it took so long to load I gave up and went back to inbox. Now there's a blue wheel constantly turning. When I went to compact, I was informed that I couldn't compact because there was an ongoing process happening-- that blue wheel has been going all day. I am confused and baffled. My version is 91.1.0

I can send & receive messages even with wheel turning. Thanks for any light....
