Copying Thunderbird to a new computer

1. I started up a new computer to replace one that is failing. Somehow the User name of the new computer became andrea and on the old computer it was Andrea Morriss. I don't know how to fix this and whether or not fixing it is important.

2. I have tried to get Thunderbird installed on the new computer and have it show all the folders and subfolders show up on the new computer. I have copied the contents of the profile on the old computer into the profile location on the new computer.

3. It seems like there should be an easy way to copy Thunderbird from one computer to another and have it look the same and have all the folders and subfolders show up on the new computer and have access to all the messages be the same on both.

 3a. Is that possible?
 3b. If so, how can I get-er-done?
3c. Will my question #1 have to be addressed first?

Thanks :-)
