I have been using Firefox for a while. And then I had a different customer laptop which did not have one and I could not install anything. So I used Chrome. Now with a new laptop when I try to import the settings into Firefox, there are multiple duplicate entries found.

Is there an automated way to run through the same and clean it up?

You may have to cleanup the logins yourself on the about:logins page.

You can possibly check if you can locate shadow copies of logins.json and key4.db as part of a session restore point.

You can look at a utility to browse System Restore points.

Safest might be to check these files in a separate profile. If you want to do this in your current profile then make sure to keep a backup copy of the current logins.json and key4.db.

See "Creating a profile":

Actually I was going through the Lockwise listing in about:logins

The same entry was duplicated several times. It would be immsensely helpful if Lockwise implemented a duplicate finder.
