Forum chat box problem
I'm using Windows 10 Using Firefox, when I log in to my forum, and go to the chat box, it is blank. If I type something and hit enter, the box refreshes and I can see what I entered as well as all the previous chat. I then don't see any response until I enter something e.g. any character. My wife logs on to her area of Windows and opens Firefox and goes to the same forum and chat box, she has no problem. The chat box opens with all the discussion showing and refreshes as people enter their responses. I am completely baffled. Any ideas welcome.

Do you have any addons that might be interfering on your FF account?
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).
"Remove the Cookies" for websites that cause problems:
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data: "Manage Data"
"Clear the Cache":
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> Cached Web Content: Clear
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
LastPass is the only addon but my wife also uses it in her area and it's not problem.
Cor-el I tried all your suggestions, unfortunately no change.
Is that chat box using WebRTC (video/audio) ?
Maybe check the Web Console for possible error messages.
