after crashes unable to update after change to PREVIEW Android

Got the new format NIGHTLY , which is now called PREVIEW. . . . . unsolicited . .. It's just there. I love the new format but

it crashes everytime I open it within a minute or two. I have tried to update via Play services It looks like the button is ready to update but I am getting no completions on the update at all. So I can't even try to fix it via update first.

I have used FIREFOX since before we got cell phones. So I am not eager to switch. I would love to be able to continue with Firefox. Forever. I sure hope this is just a temporary glitch. Maybe it'll clear up on its own and it day or two, but in the meantime it's not usable. Any suggestion???

Thank you for your question, your support for Firefox and for your interest in what we are doing with Firefox Preview - we really do appreciate it.

I recomend that you open the Android Settings app, select Applications, find Firefox and clear the cache (do not clear data!). Do this for other apps you may have on the device.

Restart your device and hopefully you should find it is more stable
