Yesterday, everything was working great. Today, it's not.

I'm running MacOS 10.6.8 on circa 2011 iMac. I'm using Tbird 45 and when I started the computer today, I received the following message. "Live, mozillamessageing.com couldn't be found".

I'm unable to download any emails from my provider, nor as I able send emails. Is there a workaround for this problem or do I need to stop using Thunderbird?

You need to find out why Thunderbird in not able to access the DNS system on your device, or access the internet. On a windows machine I would look at the firewall blocking Thunderbird or an "internet security" package that is not working as it should. Have you installed something of that kind on your mac?

Next open the error console. Ctrl+Shift+J clear it. Mine has a garbage icon. Now try and get your mail. Is there anything appearing in the error console about certificates of keys perhaps?

Last night the problem mysteriously disappeared, making me think that the issue came from Comcast. I appreciate your time to convey a fix to me and I'll keep that fix on hand should I need it in the future. I also locked my email agent down to TBird 45.8.0 instead of allowing it to update in the future.

Thanx again.
