Why can't Firefox find new update when there is one available?
Hello!
For at least a year now, Firefox will try to find an update to the version being used, under 'Help' - 'About Firefox,' and it ALWAYS says "Firefox is up to date." The problem is that there is updated version when I check your website and I always have to update manually, contrary to what is being stated on the version being used.
Is there a way to fix this, so Firefox updates automatically? The option to 'Automatically Install Updates' is and has always been checked along with the other 2 things under the 'Update' tab.
I'm hoping it's nothing sw/hw related on my rig that prevents an automatic update from happening.
Any help is much appreciated!

Firefox auto-updates are sent out one sector at a time so that if users are having problems, it can be dealt with without compromising every browser.
The current is 49.0.2 Anything above that is a beta test build.
Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the toolbar. Then Help > About Firefox will tell you what version have and check for updates.

I appreciate the response, but this doesn't explain why it never updates automatically. There have been times where I've had to update manually, as always, to a 2nd iteration of Firefox from the current being used.
