How can firefox save my logins, but NOT my passwords?
I want firefox to save my logins (so I don't have to keep typing them in), but I never want it to save my passwords.

Sorry, Firefox has no direct feature for doing that. Most of the time "usernames" alone do get stored as "form data", but they aren't correlated with a specific domain - 'recall' is somewhat happenstance.
Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a forum filler. Have it remember your usernames.
