I more or less asked this question before: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1035184 but we got derailed because everyone got excited about solving the real problem (IMAP SSL certificate mismatches). But in general, I'd really like to be able to store passwords. Currently the list of frustrations is:

+ teuxdeux.com + pinboard.in + Various real estate sites (streeteasy and trulia, today)

Anytime I want to access my own account on these sites I have to manually enter my username and password. There's no option to save my password that I've been able to find. I understand that there are security tradeoffs, but I'd like to be able to decide for myself whether the privacy of my to-do list on TeuxDeux is more important than the convenience of being able to access it.

In general, it just seems crazy to me that there is no way to save my passwords in the Firefox OS browser. Am I missing something? Is there an app? An alternate browser? A setting I just didn't find? Or is there really no way I can store login credentials in my browser.

I'm running 2.0.0.0 on a Flame.

Hi Amandabee,

Unfortunately, there is no feature in Firefox OS that allows to save passwords.

It is possible to "Remember login states", through cookies and cache depending on the website or application you may be using. This way, you only need to enter the password once, and the browser remembers your login state.

If you are interested, you can read more information about Firefox OS security in the following page:

Thanks,
