Bookmarks will not work
I have tried all I can find on the net to fix bookmarks to no avail, the star, bookmarks toolbar, or any other shortcut doesn't work. I have tried most everything, even the firefox reset says oops we are embarrassed we cant fix it. I am ready to remove firefox altogether.

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

It took a while, I had to create a new profile and manually transfer each file and folder several times leaving a different file out each time until I found the file causing the problem. Everything appears to be working now. Thanks
