firefox does not open http://www.vitalsearch-ca.com/gen/restrict/ca/births/cabirths-psm.htm Get a red circle with a slash on bottom left corner
Trying to open website at http://www.vitalsearch-ca.com/gen/restrict/ca/births/cabirths-psm.htm
opens page but on bottom left corner get a red circle with a slash thru it and cannot proceed further on that page. I can open the same page on Google chrome.
This page was assessable before on FF but had to reload FF on new computer XPS8500 windows 8 OS.
Any suggestions? I like FF but do not like opening seperate search engines when doing my research requiring many different pages open at the same time.

For me, that link pops up an authentication dialog asking for a username and password. The red circle-slash might indicate a blocked pop-up, but that's not the usual way Firefox would inform you. Are you using any add-on pop-up blockers in addition to the one built into Firefox?
Could you explain this comment in more detail?

Is this problem caused by searching from one of the built-in search features in Firefox? If so, which one:
- Built-in home page search box (about:home)
- Search bar (the one with the icon on the left side, drop-down list to choose search engine)
- Address bar
