Installed Firefox 12.0 in CentOS 5.8 as root user. Any user can open FF but when visiting pages that have html5 video content only when FF is started as root is FF able to display the video ...otherwise you get the "No video with supported format and MIME type found."

Tried installing FF12.0 in users local directory as well still no luck.

So this doesn't work for you with the video tag?

Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Did you install the 32 version of plugins assuming that you've installed the regular 32 bit Firefox 12.0 version?

You can find the latest Flash player for Firefox on this page.
