why is there so many ads & pop ups when I use Firefox?
Every time I use Firefox ads always pop up, also they tell me to update, flash player etc & then when I do it I get this other window stop forgery & to get out. These are very annoying & I have tried everything to get rid of them. I have uninstalled & then reinstalled but to no avail, they went for awhile but then reappeared. It is very disappointing because I avoid using it. Please help.

Sounds like you picked up some Malware.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit Utility - TDSSKiller
- AdwCleaner (for more info, see this alternate AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

I downloaded Malawarebytes Antivirus, I did have issues which it cleared up. But I seem to have more ads in Firefox. I already use Microsoft Security Essentials. Thanks for your help
You may need to run the other programs, Malwarebytes doesn't catch everything. I fact it's not a bad idea to run than all.
