so i get this dire warning that i'm not running the latest version of firefox - but i was - but i downloaded and installed the latest version anyway - and firefox removed itself from my list of programs and deleted the desktop icon - what's up with that?
I use the Mozilla Firefox Start Page as my home page. When I opened Firefox yesterday it said something like, "You are not running the latest version of Firefox. Click here to update." But I was running the latest version of Firefox, I get regular dialog boxes to tell me when an update is available and I always update then. But, just to make sure, I clicked the update line and Firefox re-installed. After that Firefox does not show up on my list of programs on the Start menu and the Firefox desktop icon is gone.
