Bug in the built-in PDF viewer for Hebrew characters in PDFs with forms I tried using the built-in PDF viewer to fill forms by typing Hebrew characters. It looks fine in the browser, but when I print, both the print-preview and the printed page contain gibberish characters instead of Hebrew. In addition, after saving the document, it sometimes replaces the Hebrew with gibberish when opening the document with Adobe Acrobat Reader. Inserting Hebrew text with Adobe Acrobat Reader and printing the form works as expected. I tried different PDF documents from different sources and on two Windows 10 PCs (with Firefox 89.0, 64-bit), and in all of them the print-preview shows gibberish in Firefox. I don't know if it ever worked properly.

Reproduction instructions:

  1. Open a PDF form with the built-in Firefox PDF viewer, e.g. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/975548/sa100-2021.pdf
  2. Insert Hebrew text in one of the form fields, like the following text: מלל בעברית
  3. Print the form. Compare the printed page to the expected result. You will probably notice the difference already in the print-preview page.

OS: Windows 10 Pro, version 2004, 64-bit Firefox: 89.0 (64-bit)
