I have two different email accounts registered on my Thunderbird client. Recently, emails sent from both accounts using Thunderbird, to two specific third party addresses, are apparently not being received by either third party address, although sent emails are posted into the "sent" folder in Thunderbird, so I assume that they are actually leaving my machine. I get no bounces or non-delivery reports from either address.

I have the option to use webmail for both email accounts, and the strange thing is that sending from webmail actually works. Sent emails are received as normal to both recipients, so I doubt that this can be blamed on over-aggressive spam filtering. It's just emails sent from Thunderbird that go missing, and only to the two specific recipients. Everything looks to be set up correctly at my end.

Anyone any ideas? It's only been happening for the last couple of weeks.

You seem to be under the misconception that using webmail uses your providers SMTP server. The only thing that using webmail proves is that you know your username and password. Thunderbird handed the message to your providers SMTP server and it seems to have accepted it. Thunderbird is done. Ask the recipient to check their Spam folder. Ask your provider where you sent mail is going or not going.

I had this problem too. I deleted signatures from emails and they started being received by the SENT TO parties.
