I am having a problem with having tabs that I closed re-open either when I open Firefox after closing the program or the closed tabs re-open if I click on the home button (to changed the page I am viewing to my home web-page) adding these tabs to one one currently open. I have deleted the history, restarted the program but still get these several tabs that are reloading multiple times daily.

Is there a way I can correct this from happening?

I'm going to leave your question for Fred; I have a different question.

If you launch a new window (Command+n or from the menu), do you get any extra tabs other than your designated home page? Is it consistent what pages you get in each new window? If yes and yes:

Your home page setting might have multiple addresses. Each address, separated by a vertical bar ("|") launches a separate tab. To review/clean up your home page setting, please see either of these articles:

You may have corrupt sessionstore file(s). Delete all sessionstore* files and the sessionstore-backups folder.

Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Locate the above file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.

When I go step by step of the description above, When I press Show Folder I get a folder that has quite a bit of different files (I am attaching a couple of screen shots show the files within this folder) and I do not see any file(s) listed as Firefox Profile. I am not sure which file needs to be renamed or deleted?

I would appreciate any help with this if you can!

Thank you!!!!
