I have the pinned tab set to, let's say, Facebook. I have the add-on "Last Tab Close Button" so that my tabs have the "X" on each of them. With the dark blue at the top of the page, it is hard to tell if I have blank tabs open because if I don't, I OVERWRITE THE PINNED TAB. When I end up doing this, I then have to "unpin" the tab, restart let's say, Facebook, and then tell it again to PIN the tab. Is there any way to KEEP the pinned tab from being overwritten unless "I tell it to" ? OR could your developers solve this problem.?.?. I'm sure that I am not the only one having this issue.

Hi iamjayakumars: I didn't end up following your advice, but it gave me an idea. I disabled the "Last Tab Close Button" extension and restarted Firefox. At that point I was amazed that when all tabs were closed and only the Pinned Tab open, if I clicked on one of the bookmarks in my bookmarks toolbar, another tab automatically opened and it didn't overwrite the Pinned Tab. Sooooooo, I then enabled the "Last Tab Close Button" and restarted Firefox and everything is working the way it should now.

Thank you for your help as I really was getting rather frustrated at overwriting the Pinned Tab and then having to close it and then restart whatever was in the Pinned Tab and then again having to "Pin" it.

I think (?) I am a happy camper once again!! Thanks, again!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to Troubleshoot the issue and to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
