Would doing a second import from OE into Thunderbird result in overwriting or adding to the original Inbox? I started it, but was not given a choice

Hi, I imported my Outlook Express data into Thunderbird. To do this, I had simply installed Thunderbird and then magically a dialog box appeared asking me where I want to import my data from, and even included OE as a selection! After doing the import, I realized that a folder's contents was missing (from an ordeal I'll spare you the details about). I can fix the missing folder in OE but would have to do an import again. I am concerned to be this greedy. If I do a second import after having already imported my data into Thunderbird, will Thunderbird end up with duplicate message entries? Or will the existing entries be completely overwritten as I want to happen? Thanks for any reassurance!

Did it import to new folder or folders under Local Folders?

I would expect it to do so, and I'd expect it to create another folder if/when you re-import. To be on the safe side, you could rename the existing folder so there is no collision with the re-import. All you have to do then is tidy up the mess of duplicated messages. :-S
