Firefox crashes

Firefox keeps crashing when I start it. There was a bad crash while using the application and since then, as soon as it starts the pinwheel of death comes up when it asks if I want to start a new session or restore. I tried opening in safe mode, same problem. I also downloaded the newest version of Firefox and this did not help. Thanks for your assistance! Would love to be able to use your application again.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Thanks for your response. But I can't even open Firefox so I am unable to delete my cache etc. or create a new profile. Any other thoughts?
