Firefox tries to take the focus off of the window that is currently open.
If I have more than one window on my XP SP3 desktop, FF will sometimes attempt to stay on top of whatever window I currently have open. For example, if I am working on an email with FF running in an open window behind my email program FF will suddenly all by itself "attempt" to come on top. But what happens is that only parts of the FF window will show up.

Here is a screen shot of what I am trying to describe
I have MS Live mail open with FF opened fullscreen behind it.
FF has flashed "thru (?)" the email screen and part of FF has stayed on screen.
Still happening.......
