I click on firefox icon but the browser doesn't open. Firefox is running according to the task manager. I'm running XP

I uninstalled Firefox and then reinstalled. There's an icon on desktop but when I click on it the browser window doesn't open. Task manager indicates that it's running. I'm running XP
