FF 43 won't let Flashplayer work on live news broadcasts

Mac OSX El Capitan. Updated to FF43.0.1. Now when I try to watch most live news broadcasts on local TV station websites The Flashplayer is not working. I had it set to "Ask to activate". Usually a screen appears that says "Activate Adobe Flash Player," then in the upper left corner a screen appears where I can choose "Allow now." Since the update I may see the "Activate Adobe Flash Player" screen flash for an instant or it just may not appear at all. Then the broadcast screen just turns gray.

I tried switching to "Always activate" but didn't work. Tried allowing popup windows but didn't work. Interestingly the CBSN.com site will work properly intermittently. When I access these websites with Safari they all work properly.

Any help is appreciated since Firefox is my preferred browser. Thanks!
