Cannot access my Local Inbox, circle sits and spins

My rules move email from 7 other account to the local inbox and now it errors saying that it cannot access it. I also cannot see anything in this folder as the circle just spins

a. Do you mean viewing folders as "unified" ? 

   or

b. Do you use filters to move your mail to a local folder you named inbox?

If a. Set view / folders to all (you can reset it later) See if that let you view them.

if b. In my thinking there must be something wrong either in your local inbox or in its index-file. This folder takes a lot of mail and many get deleted or moved. But if you don't regularly compact this folder, they never get removed.

Do you keep regular backups?

You could compact (right-click on folder / compact) your folder or if that fails repair it (right-click on folder / properties / repair)
