Probably used for credit card verification. Also, if there's an freebies being offered (T-shirts, decals, backpacks) for donations they would need to know where to send it.

Probably won't get a response from anyone who works for Mozilla on a Sunday. Even during the week few Mozilla employees grace us with their presence.
