Can't login to www.usbank.com. OK a week ago. Ubuntu Firefox version 10
No response at all to http://www.usbank.com dig shows: 170.135.216.181 which seems OK but can't handle the www prefix. Others have reported same thing: <http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/usbank.com.html> System is ubuntu current. Firefox seems to work OK on the lady's Mac always updated with newest OS. (But my finances are not handled there.)

Also works without mucking with the useragent line.
The real question is how long it will take for US Bank to figure it all out. My experience is that someone there dislikes open source software. That will be enough to make me change banks!

How can you make a blanket statement that "someone at (US Bank) dislikes open source software" when users of a brand new version of Firefox are having issues accessing the site? This is not the only example of sites having issues with FireFox 19.0.2 and Windows7. It seems clear there is an issue with the particular useragent string that FireFox uses on this new version of the browser, rather than a company targeting open source software. How long will it take for FireFox to fix this issue?
madperson: I see nothing in jscher2000's post that the bank is blocking the Firefox 19 useragent string - he points out that changing the useragent string to mimic Firefox 18 solves this issue. It is clear the issue is with the useragent string of this new version of Firefox, not a company blocking users with a particular combination of Windows7 and Firefox
if the only change to get the dite working again is to switch the useragent from firefox 19 to firefox 18, this clearly tells me that something is wrong/misconfigured on the bank's side.
