My hard drive is on the verge of failure, but I don't think that's the cause. I successfully installed Ubuntu 10.10 and upgraded to 11.04. I'm not running Firefox 6.0.2. For some reason the status bar at the bottom of the screen has been removed from this version. Most web pages resize themselves to fit the page, so most pages do not have a horizontal scroll bar. On those pages it is almost impossible to clock on the down button. When I try to move the cursor onto the down button it changes to rhe "resize window" curson. Usually I can get to the down button by very carefully approaching it until just before the cursor changes, but this is very difficult and time consuming. I can drag the slider on the scrollbar, but it's not really a pleasant experience. I saw asuggestion that it might be a theme problem, but it happens with the default theme too. I've used Firefox for years and really don't want to change.
