Adobe Flash Player has been disabled and downloading an updated version says that it won't download until Mozilla is closed and I don't know what that means.

Adobe Flash Player won't operate when I am using Mozilla. The window says that it is disabled. I have tried enabling it, but it doesn't do anything. When I try to download the latest version of AFP, it says that it will download when Mozilla Firefox is closed. I have closed Mozilla, I have turned the computer off and nothing that I have tried has activated AFP.
