I installed firefox v3.6, and the add-ons I want to install are coming up saying I need to upgrade. The mozilla website is reading my firefox as still being v2.0.0.12. Any advice/solutions for dealing with this problem?

Your UserAgent string in Firefox shows 2.0.0.12 . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Agent

type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page. Filter = general.useragent.extra.firefox Right-click that preference and select Reset Then restart Firefox

I could not reset the "general.useragent.extra.firefox" property. What worked for me was to reset the "general.useragent.override" property (that action emptied the property value).
