I have FF set to block video and sound palying automatically but it does onnytwitter/facebook and others

Is ther no edit? I seem to have solved it by disabling hardware acceleration. Videos that played automatically on twitter and FB do not play automatically now.

Will disabling hardware acceleration cause any problems?. Why does it cause videos to play when they are not set to?
