AARRGGHH!! I hate it when I hit SUBMIT (or POST QUESTION) and the whole tab screen blanks. Trying again, and this time saving the entered text first.

HDD "crashed and burned". Backup files on another drive include profile with saved (json) bookmarks.

I've read so many of the how to backup/restore/export/import bookmarks articles that I have a sore head, but none seem to address the current scenario.

The pooter in question is not being resurrected. I have another Win/FF with its own horde of bookmarks and I want to amalgamate the saved ones from the old machine onto that installation. It seems that is only possible with the backup bookmarks in html format, but to get then into that format on another FF installation seems destined to overwrite the current lot. Catch22 anyone?
