Why does moving bookmarks within the bookmarks toolbar folders automatically open a link when I drop the bookmark?

This is incredibly annoying, and I'd like to know if there is some sort of workaround for this.

Basically, go to your bookmarks toolbar, and create a folder. Then, add some bookmarks to it. Then, move your bookmarks around within that folder, reordering them. Every time to you try reorder, it opens links randomly. ie every time you move a bookmark within the folder by holding them mouse click on it and then dragging it, when you release the click and drop it in the new location, basically, a new page is opened.
