I would like to change the name that appears on a Gmail tab: from "Inbox (1) - chtheb@gmail.com - Gmail" 

                                                                                                              to simply   "chtheb@gmail.com - Gmail"

Hi StKitt,

This functionality isn't built directly into firefox since usually website decide what the page title is!

That doesn't mean it's impossible, although to do it you are probably going to have to use some sort of addon. You will hopefully find what you are looking for by searching for "Rename Tabs" on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/
