Websites usually "geolocate" you based on your computer IP address, which usually is assigned by your service provider. However, there are some ways that your IP address might vary from that assigned by your service provider, if you use a Private VPN, Tor, or a service like Hola to route your connection through someone else's network or computer.

These are some sites that show the location associated with your current IP address:

If neither of those shows Canada, perhaps there is some information a website saved in a cookie that incorrectly placed you there. But if it affects all sites, that's not likely.
