Annoying Full Screen Mode on Firefox 26 and 38
Hi, my os is ubuntu, and I tried to install firefox 26 and 38, today, when I open firefox 26, it suddenly appear full screen mode, and also the same with firefox 38? How to solve it? Since this PC is used for kiosk, I must keep the title bar, min, max and quit icon. After search the KB on mozillasupport, I tried to remove the localstore.rdf, it still has this problem. Any ideas? Please kindly advise. Many thanks.

You can toggle full screen mode via F11.
Can you clarify how you want the browser to appear?
You can use one of these to set which toolbars to show.
- "3-bar" Firefox menu button > Customize > Show/Hide Toolbars
- View > Toolbars
Tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu Bar - Right-click empty toolbar area
Hi cor-el, thanks your response, I want a firefox to show a title bar, min, max and quit button everytime once the user open the new page. Since this is a kiosk, we just allow all of user to press a~z and 0~1 button on keyboard.
On Firefox 38, localstore.rdf is no longer used and xulstore.json contains the data about window positions and dimensions, etc.
Thanks jscher2000, but how to deal with localstore.rdf on firefox 26? I tried to change "sizemode = fullscreen" to "sizemode = maximized", but it doesn't work.
Sorry, I never understood the internal layout of localstore.rdf. When you remove it, normally Firefox starts up the next time with a resizable window.
Full screen mode would be something like this:
<RDF:Description RDF:about="chrome://browser/content/browser.xul#main-window" width="1260" height="740" screenX="0" screenY="0" sizemode="fullscreen" />
Maximized would be something like this:
<RDF:Description RDF:about="chrome://browser/content/browser.xul#main-window" width="1260" height="740" screenX="8" screenY="58" sizemode="maximized" />
The other values wouldn't be used, so they can differ
