Lightning not seeing events created in Google calengar

After linking Lightning to my Google calendar, events created in Lightning appear in Google. However events created directly in Google do not appear in lightning. Also changes to events created in Lightning and then modified in Google are not showing up in Lightning.

After linking Lightning to my Google calendar, events created in Lightning appear in Google. However events created directly in Google do not appear in lightning.
