I have imported bookmarks form chrome, but the bookmark thumbnail doesn't auto load in, I wanna know if there is a convenient way to load all my bookmark thumbnail in but not need to check all pages?

Hi, if you haven't already; restart Firefox. If that doesn't help, as I think you know, the favicon images should appear when you load the sites.

Failing that, you can try this add-on, which used to work, but since it hasn't been updated for a long time, it may no longer do so - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/favicon-restorer.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!

yeah, I know I can click all sites one-by-one and get all images back, but there are hundreds of sites so I need a faster way to do that, also I try the add-one you provide, sadly doesn't work :( but still thank you for your reply!

Try to use this extension with multi-process disabled temporarily to see if that works.

FavIcon Reloader up to FF 48 only: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/faviconreloader/

You can disable multi-process windows in Firefox by setting these prefs to false on the about:config page.

  • browser.tabs.remote.autostart = false
  • browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2 = false

You can open the about:config page: via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

this add-one seems not work very well with firefox ver.53, I tried but almost all sites show info. "perhaps site redirection. Please try link manually" like below images, thank you for your replay!

Just a guess, but it looks like an issue with Asian character websites or URL's that use Asian characters on those that say "Please visit link manually".

Sure it doesn't work correctly with versions newer than Firefox 47 (as clearly stated on the add-on download page - up to FF 48 only), it needs to be fixed or rewritten for multi-process compatibility, which may never happen.
