When the Firefox icon is in the Windows tray, how do I enable it to flash when a response is detected to signal when to maximize the window. An example is during a live chat window, it is not on top, so there is no indication that the agent responded.

Hi korchen, The chat agent that you are using, does it use browser notifications? Check the taskbar customization options in your control panel as well.

In this situation, it appears the chat agent just opens up another Firefox window, so there are two icons in the tray.

I just cannot locate any notification option within the Firefox settings. I tried your link, however I could only modify system icons to notify or not.

Thank you for replying.

There is a notification setting in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions".

Thank you for the suggestion! I was only looking in the "options" and not tools. However, it looks like it only allows for the specific page I am on, but not a general allowance of notifications. Is there a "general" setting that I can select for all pages visited?
