How do I set the browser on all 4 of my computers to read and write to the same profile on OneDrive so they share the same bookmarks and settings

I have nested bookmark folders 12 levels deep in some cases that I synced successfully with Xmarks for years. The modified Xmarks plug in made to work with the new Firefox Quantum no longer works. Firefox sync never anticipated nested folders of bookmarks so it cannot handle them as a substitute. I can export bookmarks to HTML and import back without a problem. Since I have OneDrive to sync folders and files on all four of my computers, why can I not create a common Firefox profile under a blank folder on OneDrive that will be synced on each of my computers and have the Firefox browser on each computer read and write to this common profile?

I used profile manager on my laptop to create a new profile folder under OneDrive/Bookmarks and set the laptop Firefox to use it. At home I used profile manager to create a new profile under OneDrive/bookmarks thinking it would latch on to the one created by the laptop Firefox, but instead it created a new one next to the existing one.

How can I set each browser on each computer to share the same profile?
