I am facing issue while downloading files in Firefox Private Browsing. Whenever I download my PDF files, as soon as I close the browser window, the files also get deleted automatically. What should I do to rectify this issue.

Many of the websites I access ask if I want them to remember my login info--username and password. For those that I trust, I indicate that I want them to remember this information, and for most I get an e-mail confirming that my device is registered. However, the next time I log in, I still have to go through the entire login. Is this a Firefox issue, and if so, how can I correct this?

I've been using Firefox browser for Facebook and other online purposes for several years. Over much of that time I periodically (several times per week, minimum) get a small pop-up box, usually while I'm on Facebook, which is headed "Apple wants to make changes. Enter your password" The "USERNAME" box shows only my first name, John, (which is my admin password for the laptop) and the "PASSWORD" box is empty. No indication of what changes Apple wants to make, so I've never put my password in, and when I hit "cancel" I have to cancel three times before it goes away, only to show up sometimes within minutes, or sometimes days. Until today I'd not been able to get a diagnosis from Apple, but their help person, after a screen-sharing session today said it doesn't come from Apple and she suggested I contact Firefox Support and ask about it. So I'm asking. The screen shot below shows what it looks like, although I closed Firefox before i took this screen shot, just to see if the box would remain, and obviously, it did. Any thoughts as to whether this is somehow coming from Firefox? Thanks, John Jessup

Firefox removes the exceptions after every update and they have to be manually re-added. This is a very frustrating user experience. Can you please help me identify if this is an issue with Firefox that can be updated or is it an issue with some setting I have setup.

Exceptions that get reset - Cookies and Site Data, Pop-ups, Add-ons, etc.

Permissions that get reset - All of them Location, Camera, Microphone, etc.

• Side note, the Troubleshooting Information section below has a link to share data, that link does not open in a new window. It opened in this same window, erasing all the content I had typed up the first time.

I've got FF set for https-only. But sometimes it will tell me no https is available but when I go to the site anyway it is https.

Is this a bug or is this something in my settings?

Using Mozilla Firefox 108.0 for Ubuntu canonical 1.0 on Ubuntu 20.04.

I don't mean "saving" login information for later use, that I do not want to do. What I mean by the login not being retained is that when I log-in to a website like say Amazon, while I'm browsing, I end up having to re-enter my login information pretty much every other time that I switch between pages. I've never had an issue like that with any other browser. Is there some setting I need to adjust to stop that from happening? As I said, I'm not looking to save my passwords and usernames within the browser, I just want to effectively browse a website after logging into it without needing to login every time I move between pages. Hi, I hope someone can help me. I am an author and sell my book through KDP Amazon. Firefox is my default browser but will not let me log in to KDP. No problem with other websites including Amazon.com When I open the KDP log in page it accepts my email address but the password button has a row of asterix right across the window. I cannot delete whatever is in there or change the password via the forgotten password route. Thus to sign in to KDP I have to use an alternate browser. With both Opera and Chrome I can sign in with no problems. I have added a screenshot of the KDP log in which illustrates the problem. Grateful for any solution to this irritation. Thanks, Paul

Firefox 125.0.1 update breaks all self signed certificates

After the latest auto update I can no longer access any of my management screens on my private network with self signed certificates. This is a real problem. I have attached a couple error screen grabs, but ALL of themn are the same. The information link says there is no workaround!

So how do I recover access? Chrome works just fine ... so it is def. a Firefox problem.

Trying to open kossyderrickent.com I was suspicious of its safety. I was offered the option shown in the attachment. Is this legitimate? I am not familiar with the site and I think it may be unsafe. Pls advise.

2 Night ago I was on my Facebook page tonight I can not get on it say Firefox did not connect. I don't understand why because I was on 2 night ago and all was good. Firefox says it not a secure site Please help me I would really appreciate. Thank you Penny

When I go to my bank's login site, I get a message saying that I need a newer browser. I have the latest version of Firefox, and I used to be able to log in just fine, but I recently reset my browser and I seem to have lost some settings. I have tried adding an exception for this site's cookies in Settings, and I've also tried turning off enhanced tracker, but the site still doesn't work. Is there a way to tell what is broken and then fix it? Thank you.

The txt document codes I was given to save to my computer were corrupted in a recent windows update gone wrong. Can you give me those codes back, or are there other routes I can take to correct this?

I have noticed that my browser saves certain data that was filled into forms on websites such as contact info, or 2FA codes. Of course, the all options for Logins and Passwords as well as Forms and Autofill are turned off. So I wonder, what causes this behavior? I would maybe think these are some cookies, but after clearing them and deleting all site data this still happens. For 2FA codes this is harmless. but I'm concerned Firefox may do this for passwords too. Anyway, why would I need to save info of TOTP?

A few days ago, I tried to have one window for private mode and one for public. For Private mode, I used settings for custom history and Always use Private browsing Mode. Somehow, it didn't work. I'm old and forget a lot of what I did. I reinstalled FF a few times, to no avail. So did uninstall and told them why, and that I planned to be back in a few days. Also, I uninstalled the Maintenance program first. I went to EDGE, but really hate it, so I downloaded FF now. Set for Private browsing. But it doesn't work. Keep getting public browsing. Even if I select it on taskbar icon, no luck. Don't see the purple glasses or whatever they were. I really like to use private mode.

I can sure use some advice.
