How do I stop Firefox showing a periodic ADVERTISEMENT INSTEAD OF MY HOME PAGE? This has happened several times now, I open my browser, expecting to be at my home page with all my links etc, but no, it's a F&%&*$G ADVERTISEMENT! Uhm, so guess what, not interested, don't ever advertise to me. I will NEVER use your VPN, Simply because you hijacked my browser and advertised directly to my PC. Disgusting Practice and if it happens again or there is no way to turn it off then Mozilla will join the List of Companies that myself and my thousands of followers already Boycott widely on Social Media. This could hurt your reputation on an extreme level (ie. imagine every kid that loves a certain sports drink right now suddenly calling for the demise of Mozilla, ouch)...... I suggest you proceed VERY VERY carefully before providing me a response.

First came the Linux upgrade and with it the enforced new Firefox version. The new Firefox appeared "raw" with none of my previous settings. I am having trouble filling in the Firefox toolbar and recovering things like "most visited" sites listing and many others. There must be a common sense limit to the "happy developers'" ideas.

I am tryign to access my accoutn with De'Longhi via https://www.delonghi.com/en-gb/login.

However, the login and password boxes don't show, while the New User boxes are visible.

They also don't show in Chrome, so I think it might be a McAfee/Windows Defender issue, but I am not sure how to use the debugging in Firefox to help me see what might be happening.

Can you help, please?

When I go to Target.com and click on the search box to search for an item, Firefox isn't letting me enter any text! It's like the search box doesn't exist. Why can't I enter text here?

I'm on Mac running Ventura 13.3.1 and the latest Firefox 112.0.1 (64-bit)

i have used Firefox to access a music website for ages -- Banjo Hangout and have never had any trouble the site has Tablature of songs and when you click on a song the music file can be accessed

For the past 2 days the tablature itself does not load and it not accessible on my computer -- and I get the error message ON THE MUSIC SITE that the tablature is corrupt --

BUT I used Microsoft Edge on a lark and it worked -- so the issue is clearly Firefox

Might it be that all of a sudden Firefox is unable to synch with the files at Banjo Hangout??

Very odd and I'd rather stick with Firefox p-- any ideas?

I have to continually click pictures of buses, motorcycles, bicycles, then to back to I am not a robot. This just started 5 days ago. It sometimes takes 5 minutes of clicking pictures, to get to google. Tonight, 15 minutes, so I went to Chrome... I will have to quit Mozilla as my browser, which I don't want to do, but if I cannot access google.. I will have to. HELP!

I am finding more than ever that Firefox is no longer working on several apps. When I log into my banking app it logs in but then locks up and will not allow me to maneuver on the site. On Microsoft teams audio does not work even though it is not muted and I cannot see other participants even though video is on. If I switch to Microsoft Edge both my banking and Teams programs work without problems. I have used Firefox for years but I am ready to go to another web browser since I have to switch to another browser many times anyway. Is there a solution? If not I will be moving to Edge as much as I hate to.

I rencently get a lot of messages from Bitdefender (the free version) which say this: firefox.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an unmatching security certificate to ozgu.wanna-wheat.net. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since the used certificate was issued for a different web address than the targeted one.

I don't know a lot about internet sites, but I checked this one out using various sites and it just says it does not have a secure connection. But I am still pretty uncertain about the udress "ozgu.wanna-wheat.net" every bitdefender message like this on this forum features a pretty legit-looking adresses, but I am not sure about this one.

So please if you know anything about this, just write a response. It would certainly give me a better sleep.

i did a fresh clean install of windows and downloaded and signed into firefox browser. all my settings and extentions appeared as well as bookmarks however my logins and passswords are not there. can you help ?

a few web sites refuse to work with Firefox so I up dated the application. But now some of my bookmarks disappear and I would like also the bookmarks to open on the left side of the scree as before . Please don't force me to go to windows Edge or Google Chromes which I'm force to use at the moment as three web site including my bank refuse to work under Firefox platform. Thank you

I haven't used Firefox since they introduced the stupid new design back in 2021 and I came back because all the other browsers are worse than the old Firefox, so is this new one! Why is everything made for touch? I can't even set the density to compact anymore and everything is bigger than it was before... Before I refreshed Firefox, I always had a blank Yahoo! search bar at the top of any page. It was very useful but it's gone and I don't know how to get it back. Can someone help me with this?

I've had this problem for a couple of years already. Not with other browsers and, with the Internet Download Manager extension, I'm usually able to download multimedia content in FF. (That's been my workaround.)

For example, when loading this humble URL ... https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/transcoded/d/d8/Plattenknistern_record.ogg/Plattenknistern_record.ogg.mp3 ... if I have autoplay enabled, it'll crash right away ("Your tab just crashed"), without autoplay, it'll crash as soon as I hit play. Until a few days ago, no crash report was created under about:crashes, but, after upgrading to 112.0.1, I've finally been able to submit a crash report: bp-203a462b-e949-47b0-90f3-a99760230422

No difference if I create a new user profile and disable add-ons. Disabling hardware acceleration doesn't help either. I can't do without most of my settings and add-ons, so refreshing FF is not an option. I'd sooner try a new install (and then import my profile and reinstall add-ons), but that's laborious and not guaranteed to solve the problem.

(I've submitted this question before, about half a year ago - now archived -, but that didn't go anywhere for lack of crash diagnostics.)

Clear history tab is not displaying properly (right side cut short) after opening a few amazon pages and then trying to clear history. It shows the full clear history window if firefox is restarted.
