When I switch to Pinyin Chinese I can't switch back to English because the language tab at the top disappears. This is a new problem.

I'm running Firefox 24 on a MacBook running Mac OS X 10.7.5.

If I switch to Pinyin (Chinese simplified) I can't switch back to English. The language tab for switching languages disappears.

This is a new problem that only started to happen this week.

  • type about: config in firefox address bar, then press "enter" to access the options of Firefox.
  • In the search for general.useragent.locale
  • Right-click it and click on "Modify", then enter, for example, "en-US" to set it to English.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Command+Shift+F).
