I am not able to get rid of onewebsearch from firefox. Tried resetting, uninstalling.

I am not sure how this got into my firefox. Whenever I open firefox - a second window opens with onwebsearch page. I tried resetting, uninstalling, also tried changes in about:config etc provided in firefox help articles.. Nothing helped.

Right-click on FF icon on your desktop or where you launch it from. Make sure there are no parameters to firefox executable. Also, Scan your PC with antimalware programs for browser settings freezers, that might restore onewebsearch hijacker - it is known to be distributed with some.
