Firefox keeps crashing

In the last few weeks, Firefox crashes soon after opening, is making it impossible to view a basic web page. When restarting firefox and reopening the tabs it crashes again. It will also crash if it uses Adobe Flash. Would like to find out how I can stop it from crashing. Would appreciate some help. Many Thanks.

Didnt really solve the problem, have tried everything on the list, still crashes.

The crashes are caused by Norton software like Norton Confidential or Norton Identity Safe as can be seen by the coFFPlgn.dll or couictlr.dll in the crash signature of the crash report (bug 783369).

You can disable Norton extensions/toolbars in Firefox to see if that helps.
