If you had used the Restore Previous Session button on the default Firefox homepage when you restarted Firefox after that crash, there was a good chance your "comments" would have been restored as that "session" was getting restored. If you have already opened Firefox and didn't do that and Firefox is still open to the "that session", try using Restore Previous Session in the History menu. If you have already closed Firefox without restoring your previous session, any chance of recovering that data is gone.

If you restart Firefox after a crash then Firefox copies the sessionstore.js to sessionstore.bak and that file is used to reopen the previous session. If you've closed and restarted Firefox then sessionstore.bak gets replaced and the content from the previous session is lost.

It is possible that Widows still has a copy of older versions of either sessionstore.js or sessinstore.bak available then you can check out.
