You could try updating to Firefox 3.6.27, which you can download from http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all-older and then install by following the directions in the How to download and install Firefox on Mac article.

You can also try TenFourFox. See http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/

Hey jfree,

There is a lot of useful stuff in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) Knowledge Base article. Have you checked there? I see you are on a PPC. You might want to check out tenfourfox for a more up to date version for older macs.
