This one's really bizarre. I have FF running on several computers. 8.0 updated to 8.01 on my MacBook w/o trouble. On my Win 7 Pro 64-bit comp, however, FF 8 says it's the current release when checked (and I'm on the release update channel etc.) and, here's the kicker, when I download and manually update to 8.01, FF *reverts* to v8, I guess via the built-in update method. This has now happened twice.

The 8.0 to 8.0.1 patch is only being served to Mac users. Windows and especially Linux users do not really need 8.0.1. Users on Win/Mac/Linux the old 4.0 to 7.0.1 will however get 8.0.1 when they check for updates.

The only benefit 8.0.1 is for Windows users is if they have a old version of Roboform (7.6.1 or older) or crashes upon Firefox startup.
