Despite my settings for no session restoration, Firefox 4, 5, and 6 often try to restore closed sessions, generally losing the sidebar, and confessing to embarrassment

Operating system; Windows 7 (64 bit) Browser: now Firefox 6, but had same trouble with versions 4 & 5.

Firefox set to resemble earlier versions
Menu, Navigation, & Norton toolbars selected
          Bookmarks sidebar selected
          'Tabs on Bottom' selected

Options>General>When Firefox starts: set to 'Show a blank page'

I normally close all tabs before closing Firefox.

More often than not, when I open Firefox for a new session, the Sidebar is missing, and Firefox claims to be embarrassed that it can not restore my previous session. This is particularly annoying, as I never wish to restore the previous session, and after initiating a new session, I have to restore my Bookmarks sidebar before I can continue
