Every time I download and install Firefox, it opens, but does not connect to the internet.

Firefox installs and opens normally, but I cannot get to any web page. There is no error message, simply nothing happens.

Take a look at your Firewall permissions for Firefox. Delete the existing permissions for Firefox and allow your Firewall to reset the permissions for Firefox.

Presumably other browsers work ok.

  • Are you able to browse your local hard drive ok ?
  • are you able to open webpages if the files are on your hard drive
    for instance save this page onto your hard drive and try opening it offline from the HDD.

Possibly security software is blocking Firefox or your proxy settings are incorrect
